The first showroom of the innovative Swiss audio startup Hidden Sound opened in Zurich on Thursday.
The founders of Hidden Sound would like to personally welcomed guests on October 5th 2023 to the opening of our first showroom in our hometown, in collaboration with ASORYS Raumakustik.
Naked, minimal design:
HIDDEN SOUND recognised the modern consumers’ need for a totally new concept of an easy to use, affordable HiFi digital sound system, that could deliver unsurpassed performance combined with minimal visual intrusion, based on innovative DML and DSP technologies. HIDDEN SOUND sets are “Designed By Sound” and follow performance-oriented functionality requirements, resulting in a kind of “naked” design, not dissimilar to the legendary, still unsurpassed Porsche 910.
We removed everything that was not necessary for sheer sound excellence, like Porsche did back in the day for speed and endurance for their Le Mans races. The shape of the sound-producing surface of our speakers corresponds to the golden ratio - the only form to produce high-end sound with DML technology - supported merely by the thinnest possible aluminium frame with an integrated stand, completely open / not covered in the back. A naked, minimalist beauty, so to speak. In fact, amazing, room-filling 360-degree sound is our most important design feature, and nothing else gets in its way.
Disruptive, essential and affordable:
To deliver on this promise, HIDDEN SOUND had practically to single-handedly reinvent the entire home audio category, inventing the thinnest audiophile speakers in the industry in the process, which cause absolutely no listening fatigue and offer the depth of emotion of high fidelity. HIDDEN SOUND systems produce highly intelligible, crystal-clear 360-degree sound across the entire frequency range, and are characterised by a high degree of homogeneity of the sound field.
It embodies the perfect combination of minimalist form and next-generation acoustic technology, perfectly tuned and designed to last. Inspired by design legends like Dieter Rams, who famously stated that constant design innovation is less important than focusing on developing simple products that are built to last and challenge overconsumption. • Swiss, innovative and sustainable:
HIDDEN SOUND offers handcrafted Swiss-quality sound systems made from sustainable materials that change the laws of physics. Our proprietary design uses micro-vibration to generate digital sound, creating the ultra-thin design of HIDDEN SOUND speakers in its unprecedented form. Just 4mm thin, a first layer of sustainable balsa wood harvested from reforested plantations uses advanced micro-vibrations to produce digital sound, covered by a uniquely formulated second layer of 4mm thin acoustic foam. Held in a minimalist, 8 mm thin frame with an integrated stand, made from hard-coated, recycled aluminium, it is initially manufactured as a perfect high-tech industrial series product, and then each single set carefully refined and coded using old-fashioned handcraft of our master engineers. Like a precious classical violin.
The final innovation step of turning DML speakers into an audiophile Hi-Fi system lies in our unique usage of DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology - the brain of the system - which is integrated into our HIDDEN CUBE and powers the entire sound system. Our proprietary sound algorithm achieves the seemingly impossible: it transforms compressed sound from digital sources into a unique listening experience for human ears - our logo - that can only be compared to a LIVE concert. Hence our slogan: “Hearing Is Believing”.
